The Best Pocket Knife – Swiss Army Knife
When searching for handy cutting tools, the best pocket knife is a Swiss Army knife. It was invented in 1897, and is continually being upgraded to maintain its handy status with new and practical additions. Let’s take a look at some of its progress as it has unfolded over time.
As with most knives, it has two blades, one of which is the main blade and a smaller one for other purposes. There is a corkscrew, a can opener, along with a bottle opener. The two tools can be used for many things such as helping to build a lean-to shelter when accompanied by the use of the saw blade. The hook can help lace vines through rain slickers for a roof.
Computer technology added a list of other items which could be useful on this pocket device, and now you can get a 32GB Flash drive, along with a digital clock and an neat altimeter. They also added things like LED light, a laser pointer and music device for MP3. The hex wrench set often comes in handy for computer needs.
The addition of the 32GB Flash drive and the Bluetooth technology were both added in 2010, to make this even more handy for travelers, even campers enjoy these features. There are some plans to create a version of this device which will be flight-friendly, and allowed to be carried on board air planes. However, don’t expect it to have any sharp blades.
