Afro Chic Diani – Offering Extreme, Exclusive Boutique Hospitality at Diani Beach, Kenya
Afro Chic Boutique Retreat lies on the South Coast side of Mombasa, on the fabulous Diani Beach. If arriving by air, you can land at the Ukunda airstrip, which is just 5 minutes flight from the main Moi International airport in Mombasa. The airstrip is only 10 minutes drive from the Afro Chic. Alternatively, you can land at Moi International airport on the mainland and drive for about 2 hours.
This boutique retreat accommodation is made up of 10 bedrooms that are individually designed. There is also a large executive room.
All the rooms at Afro chic Retreat have large double beds, a balcony and a marvelous view to the Indian Ocean. The only room that does not have the ocean view is the ‘Queen of Sheba Room’ that overlooks the lush green gardens and the fish pond. The bathrooms have shower and a bidet with 2 rooms having a bath tub in addition. The bathrooms of the two suites feature “Whirlpool baths with a view”. Each room is equipped with a satellite television, a DVD player, a safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities. Some of the rooms contain a comfortable extra bed that can also be used as sofa.
The Junior suite at Afro Chic Mombasa, christened “Zanzibar Junior Suite” has two such extra beds, while the Executive suite, named ”Punda Milia” Executive Suite has one extra bed and an adjoining single room that can double up as a study room.
Afrochic hotel has a beautifully manicured and landscaped furnished garden, is situated between the white sandy beach and the crystal clear waters of the pool. The garden features two level gazebo ideal for candlelight dining or for a professional massage caressed by the constant ocean breeze, as well as facilities for garden and beach breakfast service and barbeque dining.
There are no ‘hotel rules’ during your stay at the Afrochic. As a guest, you get to set your own rules and do as you wish while in your villa. The hotel operates on a full board free style system though drinks are not included.
You may select your favorite dishes from a rich a ‘ala carte menu which features French, Indian, Italian and Chinese specialties. Fish and seafood is brought daily from the ocean and vegetables and locally grown fruits . The experienced chef is handy to suggest and create personalized menus in line with any guest’s preferences.
You can decide to dine wherever and whenever you wish – on the veranda, in the garden, on the beach, in the dining room or even on the gazebo. The choice is yours.
There is a well-stocked bar at Afro chic, which is rich with a wide selection of quality wines. Coffee and Teas, plus other light refreshments are served throughout the day on a complimentary basis.
