whats a good balloon powered vehicle?
objective: students design and develop a balloon powered vehicle to travel for maximum distance or maximum speed.
mini objective:
maximum distance – produce a vehicle that can travel the longest distance.
maximum speed – produce a vehicle that can travel the fastest over a 2 meter distance.
provided material:
10″ latex balloon (2 if needed)
possible materials :but not limited to
cardboard box paper plates aluminum pie plates
straws tape bottle caps
chopsticks glue etc…
copper wire CD
course is flat concrete surface 9 feet wide by 72 feet long no limit on size weight or material composition are given no other gasses can be used to fill the balloon
ok so those were the instructions umm i have noo good ideas i only have some idea with maybe bottle cap weels but im sure they wont spin right :/ any one have good ideas??
Well, I’ve heard you can make a miniature hover craft with a balloon. Check out this website, http://sciencesquad.questacon.edu.au/activities/cd_hovercraft.html .
