What’s the legal length for a folding knife in California.?
I have a couple of knives, but i’ve read from various forums that it can be 3 inches or under, than i’ve read that it can be 4 inches or under… and then i’ve read that it can be any length as long as it’s a folding knife. Which is it?

Your confusion is understandable. California is quite weird with it’s knife laws.
At the State level, any ordinary folding knife (as in, not a switchblade or balisong) has no restriction on blade length. This is taken from Penal Code 653k found here: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/calaw.html

Now, Los Angeles and a few other cities make their own rules, some which restrict to 3 inches or less (I’m pretty sure LA is <3"). You'll need to check with those specific cities. Luckily, CA is pretty modern so most cities post their penal codes online for the public.
Last but not least, the mark of a person who has no clue what their talking about is someone who thinks ANY knife legislation uses the "width of the palm" as a valid measurement ("Excuse me, Yao Ming? Can you hold your hand next to this knife please?"). Of course if such a person is a cop, please see recommendations in that second link above.
