Jewlery cleaning: I have a silver necklace that won’t come clean with the proper silver paste, ideas? HELP!
I have Hagerty’ silver paste which is one of the best cleaners for silver but each time I dry off the necklace with dry paper towel it keeps giving off black tarnish on the paper towel and I have cleaned it 6 times in a row.
I wore it the other day after what I thought was a good cleaning and it made my neck green…
I need help cause I want to wear this necklace this week.

Try taking it to a jewelry store. Most will toss your piece in their ultrasonic cleaner for free.
I do agree with one of the others, however–there’s a good chance it’s only silver plated if it’s turning your neck green. Sterling or fine silver shouldn’t do that.
