Why does my Randall Model 1 knife have longer than an 8 inch blade?
My Randall Model 1 knife blade is 8 and 3/16 inches long. It also has a lower “s” stamping, a curved stag handle, and finger grooves. It has nickle silver hilt. Why does my knife have a longer blade than the standard 8 inch blade?
well even though i’m not familliar with the knife, i would have to say that many times a manufacturer gives an estimated length of the blade, its easier to say 8 inch blade… than 8 and 3/16 inches. and theres really no functional difference… if i’m not mistaken its like kabars.. they are technically 6 and 7/8th inches.. though most people just refer to them as 7 inch blades
