can someone help me think of an analogy for a vacuole and golgi body that i can find in a house? and why they are alike. i am having writers block and i cant think of anything for these cell parts
The ribosomes are like a kitchen because it is responsible for making the proteins that will be used by the cells (like preparing food for dinner).
Lysosomes are like garbage disposals because they engulf wastes (old organelles, food particles, bacteria, etc.) and digest them.
Peroxisomes are like containers because they hold fatty acids and hydrogen peroxide separating them from the rest of the cellular environment. (However, I wouldn’t really compare it to just a container because peroxisomes contain enzymes that break down the fatty acids and neutralize the hydrogen peroxide so they are important for more than just storage).
