How can I paint overtop of a 1950′s formica-top kitchen table?
I have a terrific retro kitchen table and chairs with curved chrome legs from the 50′s, however I can’t stand the formica color of the table top, which is rimmed in chrome. What is the best way to cover the formica in a way that won’t chip easily and can withstand being regularly cleaned?
Pur a new HPL, high pressure laminate aka Formica, on top of the old. Don’t paint, it won’t stand up.
