A SHORT FILM NOIR, NO SPEECH JUST ACTION AND MUSIC?

i am wanting to make a short film noir for a student project and kinda dead with ideas! can someone finish this off for me….there is a restaurant, scene set in the 1940′s so blk and wht, men and women in bow ties and dresses all wearing masks like at a masquerade, some on the dance floor , there is one table on the scene candle lit of course ,,,, a woman walks in with a mask in search of her cheating husband, coz she is wearing a mask he can’t recognize her…she catches him with another woman dancing…..then what? oh and she has a knife in her purse….now what guys? any ideas to make it less cliche and more capturing???

Well, you could say that she knows the mask he’s wearing because she saw him in it when he left the house. He doesn’t know she’s coming. She asks to cut in; he doesn’t know it’s her. She acts very seductive and slips away with him. They begin kissing passionately and she stabs him or you could have them actually have sexual intercourse. The best way to end this would be a twist that the husband was not having a good time so he gave the mask to a friend; either she sleeps with the friend (masks on) and returns home, her husband coming in later and saying that he traded the mask, or if she stabs him, she leaves the mask on and returns home only to find her husband waiting there, and you assume he traded the mask. Either one is a great twist, so choose which side you want to take and you have a great ending.
