Why do I always imagine my fingers being chopped up in the blender or by a Stanley knife?
Why do I always imagine my fingers being chopped up in the blender or by a Stanley knife? I am in the queue at the Post Office and I think about it, I am out walking and I think about it. Why?
i usually hear about these types of things from people who either had a really traumatic experience in their childhood that was similar, or maybe even just kind of analytically similar, or they had a bad nightmare when they were young involving that issue and now its just a fear they cant get rid of because they dont know where it came from. i have a really bad fear im going to get hit by a car, even when im walking on the sidewalk- because i got hit by a car before, im sure, but i worry about it irrationally, like when im in a store with a large front window, and fear a car will drive right through it and hit me anyway. there is probably a connection to something in your subconscious; its normal though; everyone has irrational fears
