could someone tell me if my partner is ok to carry a 15 inch knife when fishing for cutting down reeds? UK?
the knife is always kept at the bottom of his fishing bag in a case, the bag is not carried in the street! was just wondering if he would be ok with it just in case there is a random police search.
To carry it on your person you need a concealed weapons licence, but he’s probably okay if he keeps i in his bag. I wouldn’t go waving it around or anything, except at the reeds of course. I carry a machete hiking sometimes and no rangers have ever said anything about it.
