how is geometry fundamental to cooking?
im doing an assignment on the above and have chosen geometry is fundamental to “cooking”.
People have told me that an example of a geometric concept of cooking could be a cake pan/electric mixer/knife holder. etc. how is that geometric?
you might think im stupid, but i feel really lost in this assignment and need your help.

Some examples (you’re not stupid, making this leap is tough, once you have done it, things will be obvious!):
What is the volume of my 8″ cake pan? Will it hold the batter from the recipe that says it makes 4 cups of batter?
If my cake plate has a diameter of 10″, and I have a 2″ garnish to put all around the cake plate, should I use the 6″ or 8″ cake pans to bake my cake?
If I bake my cake in 6″ cake pans instead of 8″ cake pans, how much higher will I expect my cake to be?
