I am searching for a large metal bowl (stainless steel?) to use with a mezzaluna (a crescent shaped knife).?
You see them in restaurants and high end delis to make chopped salads (what I want it for). I have heard them referred to as buffalo bowls but can’t find any references when searching the net.
Is there a specific type of bowl used for this purpose or do I just look for a quality metal bowl?
I am trying to eat healthier and chopped salads are one of my favorite things but can get quite expensive when you buy them that way so I was hoping to make my own.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
use a wooden bowl or board. there is a silence in using these tools that is very soothing in the cooking process. Metal against metal is a terrible sound.
look up Kitchen and Co., or Cooking.com there are options out there for you…
