How do you disconnect a gas stove/oven?
It’s a free standing stove/oven. GE brand, if that matters, around 10 years old. I need to know how to disconnect it and then reconnect it. Thanks so much!!
pull the stove out a little and look for a flexs connection(metal hose), At the end near the wall there should be a ball valve with a handel(yellow or red), Shut it off. Then take a adjustable wrench and loosen the nut at the stove….open window…..Bleed the stove AFTER YOU TURN IT OFF. If your just going to put it back where you had it your good doing it in revers. If your moving it to a different house, make sure you have everything there that you have at the old place. If you moving it in you kitchen, call a Lic. Plumber or gas fitter. Look in your phone book. If its pipe do as the other gentleman suggest. If its the hose don’t use a sealent. the connetor seals it self.
