can i steam vegetables using a drainer over a pot of boiling water?
what would be another solution if i don’t have a steamer?
You sure can — just pop a lid from a pan over the whole thing to keep in the heat.
You can also steam them in the microwave by putting the veggies in a bowl (think glass or some other microwave safe variety) and adding an inch of water to the bottom. Then cover the bowl with something that’s microwave safe and cook it for 5 minutes.
