Following the Sams Photoshop Elements in 24 hours – hour 7 – why doesn’t it do what she says it will do?!?!?
I am following the lesson exactly, I have drawn a rectangle and (finally) managed to put 3 circles into it. Her hint to use the Alt key to set the centre of the circle appears to be rubbish and I kept getting a circle completely replacing the rectangle!
Finally I managed to get the paint pot to fill the outside of the rectangle with black (again – didn’t work quite as she said but this may be because I had changed the default settings).
NOW I try to fill the top (currently uncoloured) circle with red – but it completely fills the screen! It doesn’t just fill inside the circle!
What on earth am I doing wrong?? Please help – this is still supposed to be the easy bit!!!
What tools have you been using to draw your rectangle and circles? You also have to make sure what you want to fill is SELECTED or it WILL fill the entire layer.
Try making each thing on a separate layer. That always helps, it means whatever you are currently doing won’t mess up the previous thing you did.
