How do remove set in ink stains from interior of Kenmore HE-2 Gas drier?
Red ink pen got into drier, inside,which is a painted or enamel white, is splashed with red ink. It won’t budge. Can u safely use paint thinner? Bleach? Manual doesn’t address.

The normal method that we recommend for removing ink from the inside of the clothes dryer is to use powdered laundry detergent and a small amount of water to form a paste. Rub the paste over the ink stains with a damp wash cloth or rag. Wipe the area with a damp cloth to remove the detergent residue.

How to Remove Ink From a Kenmore Dryer
Step 1Empty your Kenmore dryer. Run it for 10 minutes to loosen the ink.
Step 2While the dryer is running, pour 1/2 gallon of bleach and 1/2 gallon of water into a bucket. Immerse two white, full-size towels in the solution.
Step 3With gloved hands, squeeze the bleached towels so that they do not drip when transferring them to your dryer.
Step 4When the dryer stops, open the door and wipe with a rag that areas that are inked up. Immediately put two bleach-soaked towels in the dryer and turn it on for a 30-minute cycle.
Step 5Remove the towels and inspect the dryer. It should now be free of ink.

Also, you should never use nail polish or anything alcohol based in a drier as those are very flammable.
