Whats the deal with the rooster symbols in the kitchen?
It probably has to do with our early American farming heritage. You would likely see this in the mid-west more frequently. Households that have this type of decoration likely think it makes it more homey. It’s a look, maybe not your or my taste but there’s no accounting for taste. If done well it looks sweet and I’ll bet there’s pride in cooking a great roast with potatoes in their hearts and a person that would give you the shirt off their back if you were in dire straights.
