What was this old kitchen tool used for?

It’s aluminum, with the name Mrs Damar carved into handle. and also Damar Products of Newark 2, NJ. That they used the old city code tells me it’s from the 1950s, or early 60s.
The blades are a bit over 3 inches long, and serrated on one end. For slicing? Maybe, but what? Potatoes? Tomatoes? Did it have a specific function, or just general slicing?
