How to shrink wrap ipod box to make it look new and factory sealed?
Hi, I have a new ipod I just opened a couple of days ago. But I want to give it to my brother as a wedding present and want to make it look new and factory sealed as it would be kind of ghetto to give him an already opened ipod. I’ve tried using a roll of shrink wrap with a hair dryer and it looks good but doesn’t look like it just came from apple.
Shrink wrap is the best idea, but on small items I’ve also used saran wrap or cellophane. They each give a different look. Experimenting can be fun. Wrap neatly, THEN use a blow dryer or heat gun (preferable) to slightly melt the plastic. If you don’t like it – keep practicing. You’ll get better. Also, try wrapping the box differently. In your case, a hair dryer is probably not hot enough. You might try an iron WITH A PRESS CLOTH. DON’T let the iron touch the plastic. Good luck!
