And can I mold it in a really big thick socket or can I melt it in a socket I have Ox/Acetaleyne torch do I still have to use borax
I wouldn’t do it. The torch could cause the ceramic pot to shatter when heated to extreme temperatures, causing the 1800 degree molten metal to splatter everywhere; in turn, could cause a fire and life threatening burns.
Where I work at, we have ceramic pots that can be heated but via a temperature control. The maximum temperature is 770 degrees (versus 6100+ degrees with a torch) and we use it to melt lead- tin solder which has a melting point of around 370 degrees (versus silver’s melting point of 1800 degrees).
