Can Stainless Steel RUST?
I’ve been using a Shun Classic Santoku knife whenever I cook. On occasion I’ll find little specs of rust on my knife the day after I’ve cleaned them with soap and water. I thought the rust was coming from something the knife had touched that might have rusted, but I think the knife itself is rusting…even slightly.
Are stainless steel products prone to rust?
yes. stainless. it doesnt mean it wont stain but it will stain less. you have to be careful to keep your steel pieces dry, and water free. and very clean. once in a while you can use a light oil on it, but not too much. it is aloy with steel and chromium.
