. You can use it at home just like any other barbeque, but then when you’ve finished you can just pick it up and store it in the garage. Where it really scores though is on camping trips, or just days out to the beach.
There are many advantages to a gas barbeque. Anyone who has carried a barbeque and charcoal to and from the beach will understand that a portable gas grill is the ideal solution. Apart from the carrying, you can start cooking more or less straight away. A gas barbeque will get up to cooking temperature within minutes.
Some may say that cooking on a gas barbeque won’t give you the taste of charcoal on the food. Other people will disagree, preferring the convenience of a gas grill.

The design is very compact, but the grilling area is still big enough for six reasonable size burgers or steaks. Having said that, the Q100 is not intended for feeding the five thousand! But for a second, back-up grill to your main one, or for taking out on trips, it’s just the job.
The barbeque is designed to be very easy to use. The stainless steel burners are lit by push-button ignition, are infinitely controllable and heat up quickly. The enamelled cooking grate will be easy to clean, as will the removable drip tray.
The gas is supplied in 450g portable canisters. It’s hard to say how many of these you will get through – it will depend so much on the sort of food you cook. Any barbeque with a lid will work much better, and use less fuel, if you keep the lid closed. If you do not want to use the small canisters, it’s possible to get an adaptor kit to link to a large cylinder, say on your caravan.
