Could the use of stainless steel and brass in a magnetic solenoid cause rust?
We use magnetic solenoids at work to open water valves, we use to use all stainless steel and now we are using a brass/stainless combination and I feel as though I see a lot more coming back rusted out and now I wonder if it’s caused by the use of two different metals or if it would have to be from an outside source such as the use of galvanized.
