How long does green tea keep, best buy date?

I have got some marshmallow tea dryed in a tupperware tub will it of gone off i had quite a bit in a dry place.

The “best buy date” are either a marketing device to make you throw away or donate what you have and buy some more OR to protect the manufacturers from lawsuits, in case somebody would sue them because their teas have no taste 30 years later (you just have to use MORE after a while).

What’s marshmallow tea?
I don’t drink tea much (the diuretic effect makes me pee too much), but, if I get a craving, I don’t mind using tea that expired in the last millennium, in 1999. It you store it well, it won’t get moldy (if it’s moldy, throw it away). You might need more to get the same taste as the strength fades with the years.

Like I don’t use much salt (like a pinch to make my water boil faster, for my pasta, or a pinch on my healthy, good Canola oil, French fries…). I bought a little 26oz Morton Salt (it was very cheap, I think one or two dollars.), 25 years ago and I’m still using it without wondering if it’s still good. It’s still salty and not moldy, so…good enough for me.
One of my friends moved to another continent and left me all her herbs…Her 30 year old herbs were still good (if it’s not moldy, it’s good to use).
