1990 Cherokee 4.0 I6 pcv valve?
While I was getting my idle situation fixed.I noticed that a line from the top of the valve cover was busted,and the boot was silliconed into the valve cover.I did what I could to fix the busted hose(wrapped tight with elect.tape for now.)I also noticed that I do not have a pcv valve.Am I supposed to have one?How do I fix the vac.line from the valve cover?So that its not held in with sillicone.I was also thinking about a response I got from another of my jeep questions I posted.How do I tell if I have power assist for my brakes?I do have to use considerably more pressure than I would if I was driving my girlfriends neon,but I just figured it was because its an old beast.It does stop with no problems though,there is no noise,grinding or squealing when the brakes are applied.

Correct as above, you do not have PCV valve. I think I went over this when you had oil in your air cleaner. If was mine, head to the junk yard, the system from at least a 87-90 will fit. System is defined as rubber grommet in valve cover, fitting with oraface, plastic hose,,,but you can use vacuum hose, and coupling at manifold.
As you said earlier, you at least once had a ABS system..and it is warranted for life, pump and master cylinder, but you should NOT have vacuum assist master cylinder with ABS, Someone could have subsituted a vacuum booster for the original ABS master cylinder. If you still have the ABS master cylinder and the pump under your overflow is not working, you WILL HAVE HIGH brake pedal effort!!
If you get the ABS system working, and still do not like the pedal effort, and you probably won’t, repost that question and I can tell you how to make a cheap modificaiton and reduce your pedal effort around 20%, but until your ABS is working, I will NOT give you the modification as it increases the braking effort to the rear brakes and you MUST have ABS to use it safely.

Do you have larger tires than 225×75? That will increase brake pedal effort to a degree.
