What is the Pampered Chef?
The Pampered Chef is a direct distributor of kitchen tools or utensils at in – home cooking shows. The Pampered Chef was founded by Doris Christopher back in 1980. She was an educator and economist that had a desire to bring high quality, professional value kitchen tools to the typical person’s house hold.
Doris begun this venture from the basement of her home with a $3000 dollar budget. The company took some years to receive recognition and in 1990 its popularity grew. Then in 1996 it instituted its world wide presence with Canada and then in Europe, in the UK in 1999 and in Germany in 2000. And in 2002 it became part of Warren Buffet’s Hathaway Group. It also chartered its way into Mexico in 2009.
A quick side note on Warren Buffet. He is one of the top or the top investor in the world and he does investments in mlm companies. With that said I anticipate that puts some of the mlm fears to rest.
The Pampered Chef presently has over 70,000 consultants and over 12 million customers.

The Pampered Chef does not only retail kitchen apparatus but also retails cookbooks with full color pictures. These cook books specializes on specific meals, courses, desserts, and ethnic recipes.
This company is also a great supporter of the American Cancer Association provide fundraisers to charities for awareness and prevention of breast cancer. They also sponsor free resources for protection of privacy, money management, debt awareness, avoiding identity theft, comprehending credit and mortgage, and keep people from frauds and scams.
The Pampered Chef compensation Plan
Before I get to the compensation plan I want to explain the “how-to” of this organization. Like many of the tradition mlm companies you host parties, just like the Tupperware, Avon, and Mary Kay parties, in your home or in a friend’s home where you would cook and display the functionality of the products.
This is exceptional particularly if you are a wonderful cook because there is no better way than to bring people together than with delicious food. But if this is not what you like to do then it would be a little tough to go after this unless you have a huge desire on making it happen.
So to get paid in this business you would of course have to generate sales in the parties that you host. You could acquire up to 25% commission on $4,000 in sales and greater. The commission percentage starts off at 20% and then you build your way up based on your sales. For example $1 – $500 you earn 20% and then it keeps moving up from that point.
You can also acquire commission on your sales group. As you recruit people into your team and they begin hosting parties and making sales you could earn up to 31% of the sales volume of the group. There are eight consultant career levels as you move up the ranks.

Now to begin it’s very basic. There are two ways to get started. You can either start off with a new consultant mini kit at $80 or the new consultant kit at $155. Each will come with detailed instructions on getting started with your new business.
