For high schoolers: lunch snacks to take that’s sorta filling(healthy snacks)?
i say snacks because i don’t wanna have to lug around a tupperware thing with salad that’ll get warm anyways-and i don’t wanna hafta take a nerdy thermo thing. SOMETHING HEALTHY TOO!! (no junk)
something i could buy or make?!? (that’ll fit in a small zip loc baggie and that won’t taset nasty warm and squished)
Ziploc some of those “Baby Bonbel” wax wrapped gouda like cheeses and some whole wheat crackers, trail mix is a great idea – lots of dried fruits and nuts, easy on the sweet kinds… consider those tuna kits that have a little can of tuna flavored with sundried tomatoes or lemon and basil that come with crackers… stick a can of V-8 juice in there and you have a nice snack/meal.
Anything with peanut butter is filling too. Hard boiled eggs keep pretty well and are filling… wait to peel it when you eat it. Consider getting an insulated lunchbag (same size as paper lunchbag, not so nerdy as a lunchbox but keeps food safe til you eat, tucks into backpack or pocketbook.)
Whole pieces of fruit (apples, bananas, pears, clementines or seedless oranges) and baby carrots, celery, grape tomatoes, stuff like that…
A whole lunch could be a bagel or baguette (firmer breads travel really well), a couple wedges of Laughing Cow cheese, a piece of fruit and some cut up veggies.
