How long to blanch string beans before I freeze them?
I have some fresh string beans (Blue Lake, Bush type), and a vac. sealer, I want to freeze them, and I know I should blanch them, run under cold water, pat dry, then suck seal, but how long do I blanch them?
Blanch the beans for 3 minutes in boiling water, then plunge them into an ice water bath. Drain and use vac sealer to freeze.
